Introduction

The death of a beloved princess: accident or murder by the Royal Family? Princess Diana died from injuries sustained from the crash in the back of a black Mercedes-Benz (Sarasota Herald-Tribune). Many have questioned the circumstances surrounding Princess Diana’s Royal Family’s embarrassed by her (Petit). After her divorce in August 1996, she had several male suitors, none of whom were royal (Naidu and Goldsmith). Close to the time of her death, it was rumored that she was pregnant by her then-boyfriend, Dodi Fayed, who also died in the crash (Eidell). A letter written by Diana before her death and given to her butler for safekeeping stated that she believed Prince Charles was planning to cause her to be in a car accident (CBC). Ultimately, it was a drunken chauffeur driving Princess Diana's car who swerved into another vehicle and then head-on into a pillar, killing three of the four passengers that dreadful night (Wheatstone and Donaldson). Even though there are many theories about what really caused the crash,  the most plausible theory is that the chauffeur made a human error that led to the crash which took Princess Diana’s life.
